The Porsche 718 Boxster is a lightweight, driver-focused sports car model where visual refinement must align with precision, handling, and surface quality. For this project, DEIZ GARAGE completed a new full exterior color transformation using advanced peelable paint technology, allowing for a custom finish while preserving the original factory paintwork as an alternative option to permanent respray or factory equipment changes.
The vehicle was painted using peelable paint technology, a removable coating system designed to protect the original body color without permanent alteration or surface damage. This solution offers a flexible paint to sample option inspired by the Porsche car configurator, allowing owners to customize the appearance of colour while maintaining full reversibility, factory-level protection, and compatibility with future model or edition changes.
A new custom color was developed based on Porsche’s original Ruby Red, carefully refined to achieve a deeper and more expressive appearance of colour while remaining true to the brand’s design language seen across the Porsche lineup, from Cayman and Cayenne to Turbo and Coupe variants. The peelable coating was applied with controlled thickness and uniform coverage to ensure a smooth, OEM-level surface finish that reflects Exclusive Manufaktur standards and premium material selection.
To complement the exterior color, the brake calipers were painted to match the body color, creating a cohesive and performance-oriented visual accent across the front and rear of the car. The wheels were refinished in high-gloss black, enhancing contrast and emphasizing the Boxster’s sporty proportions, overall style, and connection between exterior appearance and driving performance.
While the focus of this project remained on exterior finish, the solution integrates seamlessly with the vehicle’s interior and interior colours, allowing harmony between exterior design, interior seat specification, and factory equipment such as LED headlights, Matrix LED systems, and other Porsche options available through the Porsche car configurator.
The project was completed with the application of a ceramic coating, providing additional gloss, chemical resistance, and long-term protection for the peelable paint surface, making it suitable for daily use, high-performance driving, and consistent handling characteristics.
