This project focused on a full transformation of the BMW M550i, combining a lightweight dry carbon fiber body kit with a performance upgrade inspired by the sharp and aggressive character of the BMW M5 CS. The goal was to enhance both the visual presence and driving performance of the car while maintaining everyday usability.
The exterior upgrade included the installation of a complete dry carbon body kit. Carbon components were installed across multiple areas of the vehicle, including the hood, front splitters, kidney grilles, mirror covers, front fenders, side skirts, rear diffuser, and rear spoiler. Using dry carbon fiber elements helps reduce overall vehicle weight while giving the BMW M550i a cleaner and more dynamic appearance on the road. The carbon parts emphasize the proportions of the car and reinforce its performance-oriented design.
Beyond the exterior transformation, the vehicle also received a performance upgrade developed together with Morendi. The BMW M550i was equipped with a Morendi Stage performance tune and calibrated on the DEIZ DYNO to validate real performance gains under controlled conditions.
The dyno results show a clear increase in engine output. Power increased from 533 horsepower to 662 horsepower, while torque increased from 797 Nm to 810 Nm. Torque was intentionally kept lower during calibration in order to preserve the safety margin of the N63 engine connecting rods.
This BMW M550i build combines dry carbon fiber design, aerodynamic styling, and dyno-proven performance gains. The result is a car that delivers stronger performance, reduced weight, and a more aggressive presence on the road while maintaining reliability and balance expected from a modern BMW performance platform.
