This Mercedes-AMG E63 arrived with an existing aftermarket tune already installed. The project began with a complete analysis of the calibration, including datalogging, parameter verification, and software review to evaluate both performance and safety.
During the inspection, several areas for improvement were identified. The existing calibration utilized a reduced high-pressure fuel target of 120 bar instead of the factory 200 bar fueling strategy and lacked important thermal protection functions designed to protect the engine under demanding operating conditions.
Following a detailed review, the vehicle owner approved a complete recalibration focused on increasing performance while restoring critical safety systems.
The revised calibration retained the factory fueling strategy, introduced additional protection measures developed specifically for GCC operating conditions, and optimized overall engine performance.
The result was an increase of more than 50 horsepower compared to the previous calibration while improving overall drivability, engine protection, and long-term reliability.
The final output reached 741 hp and 1077 Nm, delivering smooth, consistent power supported by factory-based fueling logic and enhanced safety strategies.
The complete setup was calibrated, tested, and verified on the DEIZ DYNO, ensuring stable and repeatable performance under load.
This project demonstrates that proper calibration is not only about achieving higher power figures, but also about maintaining the reliability and protection systems required for long-term performance.
